This body of work has allowed me to explore feelings of detachment and uncertainty. In this work I wanted to portray the occasionally alienating sensation of the human experience. It is definitely very much philosophically based, and considers existentialism as well as escapism. The body of work is largely associated with the passage of time, and the inability to grasp the reality of time. Life can move fast, and at times it's as though you can feel a moment pass before it's even started. Time, memories, experiences; these are all things that I want to grasp even though they feel out of my control. I am trying to find peace within the reality of time and appreciate moments for what they are. Whether it's a goodbye or a hello, each moment has an essence which stays with us long after the moment has passed.
